I was invited as a guest lecturer for the Erasmus Mundus MSc in Geospatial Technologies program. The international master’s program is supported by the European Commission’s Erasmus+ programme and brings together the University of Munster, Universitat Jaume I and Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
During the lecture at Universitat Jaume I, I introduced network analysis for GIS and shared examples from DEBIAS. The session discussed the potential of digital trace data for research while also addressing representativeness bias in these data.
The lecture encouraged students to critically consider both the opportunities and limitations of mobility data derived from digital technologies.
